The Royals are in town!

President Obama and First Lady, Michelle Obama, welcomed Spanish King and Queen – Felipe and Letizia – to the White House on Tuesday.

Queen Letizia enjoyed a tour of Michelle’s organic garden, led by the First Lady herself, who seemed delighted to be meeting with the Spanish Royalty. Both ladies wore dresses, with the Queen in a black and white printed number, while Michelle’s was white with a windowpane pattern.

Before heading out to the garden, the couples spent time together, chatting and posing for photos. While their wives wandered the White House grounds, President Obama and King Felipe sat, enjoying each other’s conversation.

Today’s visit from the Spanish Royals is just one of the high profile visits the Obama’s plan to welcome this month.

Next week, President Obama will greet Pope Francis at his arriving plane as the Pope kicks off his U.S tour – starting in Washington D.C. before travelling to New York and Philadelphia.
