Celebrity Suzanne Somers Posts Vintage Throwback of PEOPLE Cover Somers covered PEOPLE in 1977 with co-stars Joyce DeWitt and John Ritter By Naja Rayne Published on March 3, 2016 11:55 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Instagram Talk about vintage! Suzanne Somers took to Instagram on Thursday, sharing a throwback of herself and Three’s Company co-stars Joyce DeWitt and the late John Ritter on the cover of a 1977 issue of PEOPLE. “#TBT to #ThreesCompany on @PeopleMag!” Somers, 69 captioned the pic. The decades old article, written when Somers was 29, details her rise to fame as the actress recounts everything from getting kicked out catholic school “for writing too many notes and poems to too many imaginary boyfriends,” to the beginning of her career as a model, sometimes doing small acting parts in the bay area. “Poetry is my shrink,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “I believe you can do anything you truly want to do. I pinch myself a lot. I feel like a princess who was offered three wishes and they all came true. Of course, coming from a staunch Catholic family, I’m trying to find something to feel guilty about.” Feeling guilty might have proved difficult, as Somers managed to push her career even further, continuing to act while singing, getting involved in fitness videos and also becoming an author.
