There’s nothing like a mother-daughter date, especially when your outing involves meeting presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at her exclusive fundraiser!

Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise, spent the evening together meeting other mother-daughter duo Hillary and Chelsea Clinton on Thursday night.

Holmes, who turns 37 tomorrow, shared the moment on Instagram with a black and white snap of the group meeting. And it looked as though Chelsea and Suri enjoyed some chatter as they met behind the scenes of the former Secretary of State’s fundraiser, which was co-hosted by Chelsea and actress Drew Barrymore.

“Mothers and daughters #wearewithhillary,” Holmes captioned the photo adding a heart emoji as she showed her support for the democratic presidential candidate.

Earlier this month, a source told PEOPLE that Holmes was expected to attend the event, but there was no word yet on whether or not Suri would tag along for the kid-friendly soiree.

Good thing she decided to go, as the source added that the New York event would include something for everyone.

“This is going to be a great holiday party with fun for the whole family,” the source added to PEOPLE. “Guests are encouraged to bring their kids and there will be a cartoonist, face painting, balloon animals, a kids DJ and snowflake making.

While it’s unclear if Holmes made a donation to Clinton’s campaign, tickets for the event went for between $250 and $2,700.
