Two words are summarizing how the Internet feels about Friday’s historic Supreme Court decision: Love Wins.

From the moment news broke that same-sex couples have the right to marry in all 50 states, people took to social media to celebrate the monumental moment; #LoveWins quickly began trending, with President Barack Obama taking to Twitter to respond to the verdict: “Today is a big step in our march toward equality. Gay and lesbian couples now have the right to marry, just like anyone else. #LoveWins.”

And some of the most touching and heartfelt reactions to the SCOTUS decision came from the everyday people who will finally get to marry the people they love, or see their loved ones finally walk down the aisle.

Sure, not everyone was pleased by the ruling – Mike Huckabee released a statement blasting the decision – but those voices were outnumbered by messages like these. //storify.com/peoplemag/the-sweetest-social-media-reactions-to.js?header=none&border=false
