ABANDONED: Rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight, 36, has put aside plans to expand his mansion atop a hill in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley because of neighborhood opposition, officials told the Associated Press. Simpson’s mother, Eunice Simpson, 80, was found dead of natural causes Friday in at her San Francisco home, the medical examiner’s office said. RATED: NBC continued its mastery of Thursday and Friday night, pulling the network closer to baseball-powered Fox for the November sweeps lead, according to the Nielsen research people. CBS, meanwhile, dominated Saturday by replacing the canceled “Citizen Baines” with a repeat of “CSI,” and Fox similarly improved its Friday standing by re-broadcasting the first episode of “24” in the hour usually occupied by the struggling “Pasadena.” Fox also showed nice gains on Thursday with its new lineup. There was virtually no good news for ABC, though, as the network finished fourth on both Thursday and Friday and third on Saturday . . . MARKED: Wonder Woman’s 60th anniversary is this month, and it’s being celebrated with a benefit comic book. Artist Alex Ross has painted “Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth,” a 48-page, tabloid-sized graphic novel. Proceeds from sales of the original art from the DC Comics book, due in stores Wednesday, will go to a charity that helps victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
