Streisand, Brolin Stalked

A photographer was arrested for investigation of stalking after he allegedly followed Barbra Streisand and her husband, actor James Brolin, twice while they were driving. The couple headed directly to a Los Angeles County sheriff’s station Saturday afternoon when they noticed they were being followed by somebody in a van — later identified as Wendal Wall, 28 — as they traveled on Highway 101. Hours later, they noticed him following them again on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, where they have a home. They flagged down a deputy, who stopped the driver. Wendal was held for investigation of stalking on $1 million bail, police said.

  • In other news of Streisand, her New Year’s Eve sell-out show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, her first live performance since 1996, grossed $14.7 million, setting a U.S. box-office record for a single concert, the hotel-casino announced Monday. The previous record for a single concert, as tabulated by the industry magazine Pollstar, was $13.4 million grossed by the Three Tenors — Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras — at New York’s Giants Stadium on July 20, 1996.
