For Sting and his wife Trudie, the thrill is never gone.

The rocker, 64, and actress-director, 62, who married in an extravagant affair in Wiltshire England, back in 1992, says though it’s been over 20 years of marriage – on top of their 10 years together before tying the knot – they’re still as in love as ever.

“Trudie is my main go-to person,” says Sting, opening up to PEOPLE in this week’s issue about their romantic Tuscan getaway. “Somebody said to me the other day: ‘Who is the most impressive person you have ever met?’ I said: ‘I think I’m married to her.’ She rocks me.”

For more on Sting and wife Trudie Styler’s gorgeous Italian getaway home, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

One of the things that the couple says brings them closer together is their bucolic home away from home in Tuscany. A passion project of theirs, the couple spent nearly a decade transforming Il Palagio, a sprawling historic estate outside of Florence that had fallen into disrepair, into their dream vacation home as well as a sought-after event space and popular winery.

It’s also where they’ve spent every wedding anniversary since 1997. “Italians really know how to live,” Styler tells PEOPLE. “They’re a very happy group compared to us Brits.”

That’s why the couple says some of their happiest days have been spent relaxing in and around their 865 acre Italian estate. Wine helps too.

“We have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner,” the rocker jokes of enjoying the fruits of their labor – along with Il Palagio’s thriving produce, honey and olive oil business, the couple oversees its winery that has wines named after Sting songs and that are stored in the cellar beneath his studio before their shipped.

Though her rock star husband loves to sing her praises, Styler says the feel is completely mutual. “He’s always evolving, always surprising me,” Styler says. “I feel like we’re still on a beautiful adventure together.”
