Sting, 49, got his star on the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame this weekend, right in front of the El Capitan Theater, where, on Dec. 15, Disney’s “The Emperor’s New Groove” will open. The musician composed some songs for the animated feature. Before the throng that gathered to see his new star (Sting’s is the 2,168th such bronze plaque to be unveiled), the British musician, who was born Gordon Matthew Sumner, recalled his first visit to Tinsel Town, in 1978. “We pulled in late in a bus and got onto Sunset Blvd., and I said, ‘Stop the bus right now.’ So they stopped the bus, and I got out and ran and hugged a palm tree. I’d never seen a palm tree in my life.”
