Princess Stephanie of Monaco has had to close down her Replay restaurant in Monte Carlo (on Rue Grimaldi, a street named for her family), taking an estimated loss of $3.25 million. The eaterie, considered her pride and joy, “used to be very popular and had a regular clientele,” says Britain’s Daily Express, “but when the Princess started staying away … the customers drifted away, too.” Stephanie opened Replay three years ago with her then husband, former bodyguard Daniel Ducruet. A source told the Express, “People loved to be served by a real princess, and they enjoyed eating in the same restaurant. But Stephanie became pregnant and now seems more interested in the ski resort Auron than Monaco.”
