Although the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters this Friday (have you marked your iCals yet?), a select group of extremely lucky people (read: film critics and celebs) got to attend the world premiere, which included appearances from Star Wars vets Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, for a screening of the film.

As is custom with movie premieres, a review embargo was put in place – stopping critics from posting in-depth write-ups before tonight – but the restriction hasn’t stopped them from sharing their thoughts in 140 characters or less, much to our delight.

The consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with fans comparing The Force Awakens to earlier films in the franchise. One critic was quick to share that the highly anticipated movie easily ranks in the top three of the series. Bold words from a Star Wars fan.

Here’s what they had to say on Twitter – sans spoilers, because that would just be cruel and unusual punishment.

So much excitement! One thing’s definitely for sure: we can’t wait until Friday to see for ourselves.

What did PEOPLE’s critic think of The Force Awakens? Check back here at 12:01 a.m. PT!
