Stacey Dash made her political allegiances clear on Thursday during an interview with Fox News at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland.

When asked by Jesse Watters if presidential candidate Donald Trump is really a “conservative,” Dash responded, “I believe he is a true conservative.”

She added, “He’s strong on national security.”

Dash, who made a appearance at the Oscars last Sunday, noted that it was her first time at the conference, speaking with Watters just ahead of the network’s GOP Presidential Debate.

The actress and Fox News correspondent previously told Elle that she thinks Trump is a “good contender” for the Oval Office.

“He’s a great businessman, he’s a billionaire, he has connections, he’s been bankrupt which means he knows how to get out of debt, which is what we’re in,” she explained. “My questions for him would be, does he have an outreach strategy? People believe that all of these conservatives don’t care about minorities, so does he have a strategy or program to reach the people? Does he know how to let them know we do care? That we believe everybody f—— matters?”

Dash drew Trump’s support after her highly controversial comments about the Oscars and BET Awards during an appearance on Fox & Friends in January.

Later appearing on the same show, Trump said, “I thought it was an amazing interview, actually. I’d never even thought of it from that standpoint.”

Trump squared off with Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz during Thursday’s debate, and quickly took things to a NSFW level by assuring voters that there’s no size problem – ahem – down there.
