After her wedding last month, Britney Spears told PEOPLE exclusively that she liked the sound of a new name: “Britney Federline.”

Now the pop princess is telling the rest of the world the same thing. “I probably will (change my name to) Britney Federline,” Spears, 22, was quoted in Germany’s Bunte magazine. “Society probably won’t allow me but I would like to change it.”

She also reiterated what she’d already told PEOPLE – that she’d like to begin a family soon, though “there are a few things I want to take care of this year before I have my baby…. I want to become a mother. I’m crazy about children … next year, when I’m 23 I’ll be ready.”

Spears married dancer Kevin Federline on Sept. 18 at a private home in California’s San Fernando Valley. They took their first trip as husband and wife to her hometown of Kentwood, La., and spent some time shopping: he at Wal-Mart and JC Penney (for hunting equipment and running shoes) and she at Baton Rouge’s Mall of Louisiana.

They also picked up a new love nest to call home: a 9,000-sq.-ft., eight-bedroom, eight-bath, gated Malibu spread. Besides a traditional style house built in the 1980s, the 1.5-acre property reportedly also includes a garden, pool with spa, tennis court and gym, as well as an outdoor kitchen. The price was said to be around $6.9 million.
