Soup Nazi Expands

Larry Thomas, who played the Soup Nazi on “Seinfeld,” is opening 19 soup shops in New York. However, he’s chosen a kinder, gentler name for the venture — “The Soup Maestro.” New York’s Daily News reported that Thomas promoted the new stores this week by handing out free cups of soup in the shop at 54th and Broadway. That’s just round the corner from Soup Kitchen International, the shop owned by Al Yeganeh, who was the original inspiration for the Soup Nazi character.
