Son Wyatt Is Sheryl Crow's Favorite Roadie
"He's been just wonderfully adaptive," the Grammy winner says of her 21-month-old
Sheryl Crow‘s son Wyatt has morphed into a little drummer boy on the road – and he’s not even 2.
The 21-month-old has taken to his mom’s profession, touring and all, a delighted Crow tells PEOPLE.
“He’s very musical,” the Grammy winner said in West Hollywood at Thursday’s Me&Ro boutique’s reception for the book Note to Self, to which she has contributed. “And he has these funny little dances he does. He plays the drums. He gravitates toward the guitar all the time.”
The tot also has no trouble adjusting to mom’s schedule. “He’s been just wonderfully adaptive on the road. I’d love to say my life has totally changed, but it hasn’t actually changed that much. He’s just kind of gotten on board,” says Crow. “He’s an amazing little guy in that he’s very social.”
Not that she isn’t ruling out other career options besides music for when Wyatt grows up. “He might be a physicist. Who knows?”
Having survived breast cancer, Crow says of having Wyatt, whom she adopted in May 2007, “My life is definitely richer, and he’s the first thing I think of in the morning, and the first thing I think of before I go to sleep.”
Shares Birthday with Aniston
Come next Wednesday, Feb. 11, Crow celebrates turning 47 with a “Friend” and sister Aquarian, Jennifer Aniston. Crow tells PEOPLE that the two will be joined at dinner that night by Laura Dern – who also has a February birthday.
Aniston, who’ll turn 40, has a secret for retaining her youthful looks. Says Crow, “I think anyone who is gorgeous at their age is somebody who’s comfortable with aging and who they are, and she’s got a lot of light, a lot of joy around her.”
