THE BRIDE ARRIVED BY BIKE
It’s not a good day for the Rolls-Royce rental industry. Because you just know that brides-to-be around the country are suddenly considering canceling their car reservations and following in Solange Knowles’s footsteps (tire tracks?). And of course, the bike she rode to her nuptials at the New Orleans Marigny Opera House was bridal white and decorated with roses. (As for her “athletic” apparel, it’s a Stéphane Rolland caped jumpsuit.)
AND SO DID THE GROOM
Alan Ferguson joined his bride with a white-painted bicycle. He skipped the basket of flowers, but added his own visual touch via gold-capped shoes.
THERE WERE MULTIPLE JUMPSUITS
Multiple cleavage-baring jumpsuits, to be specific.
EVERYONE MARCHED IN A PARADE
The newlyweds forewent the typical emcee-led “And now, put your hands together to welcome for the first time ever…” entrance, opting instead for a traditional second-line parade through New Orleans, complete with a brass band.
BEYONCé AND JAY Z CARRIED SPARKLERS
Reason no. 3,458 Solange’s wedding was better than all the weddings you had to go to this year: Bey and Jay were in attendance, lighting things up with sparklers.
THE COUPLE HAD SOMETHING BETTER THAN A WEDDING HASHTAG
They had the queen of social media posting all the best moments.
J.CREW'S JENNA LYONS SHOWED UP
It’s like a game of Where’s Waldo? Only, in this case, you’re searching for the president and executive creative director of J.Crew (hint: look for her trademark glasses). Also, see if you can find mom Tina Knowles in this photo.
