Beyonce's little sister and husband Daniel Smith welcome baby Julez on Oct. 18
She’s not the baby of the family anymore: Beyonce Knowles’s little sister, Solange, and husband Daniel Smith are the proud parents of a baby boy.
Daniel Julez J. Smith was born the morning of Oct. 18, reportedly in Los Angeles, although a spokesman for the couple refused to confirm the location. Also a mystery is the child’s third initial, “J.” The spokesman would not say what the letter should for. “It’s part of his name. It’s just ‘J,'” he tells PEOPLE.
The spokesman did say that Daniel Julez was a big baby, tipping the scales at 9 lbs. 4 oz. “He is fat and healthy,” the couple’s rep said.
Solange, 18, and hubby Smith were married earlier this year in the Bahamas, with Beyonce serving as maid of honor for her kid sister. Smith is a college football player with Houston’s Texas Southern University.
Solange has been pursuing an acting and music career, and reportedly was at work on a follow-up album to last year’s Solo Star. Those plans may have to wait.
Meanwhile, while her Solange was seeing to her new baby, Beyonce was in New York pushing “True Star,” a new women’s fragrance she and designer Tommy Hilfiger have launched, Fashion Wire Daily reports. The Destiny’s Child star made a special appearance at Macy’s in Herald Square Friday night to plug the new product.
