Solange Knowles has a name for the post-Met Gala elevator fight with brother-in-law Jay Z – she calls the incident “that thing.”

Knowles spoke with Lucky about the altercation, her first time mentioning it publicly since the joint statement she made with Beyoncé and Jay Z.

“What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” the singer, 28, tells the magazine in its August cover story. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

While the trio stayed mum for several days after TMZ leaked the video of the fight, the family eventually addressed the skirmish.

“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred,” the statement read. “They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

The cause of the incident is still a matter of speculation, but sources told PEOPLE that Solange was provoked and is very protective of her older sister.
