The Hottest Bachelors cover star is renowned for his rakish smile, sparkling eyes and – how could we forget? – his killer abs. But as his mom Kay tells PEOPLE, her son’s greatest attribute is “his integrity.” She boasts of her superstar son, “When he gives you his time, he gives it to you.” No longer single, McConaughey, now 38, is expecting a child with girlfriend Camila Alves.
These days, Gyllenhaal spends his free time with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon and her two children. The actor is no stranger to kids, being a devoted uncle to sister Maggie’s daughter Ramona. “She’s amazing – I revel in her growth, it’s an amazing process to watch,” says the actor. Still, he’s not exactly psyched about diaper duty, telling Maclean’s, “I wanted to see what it was like … [but] I started gagging and handed her back.”
The sexy actor who plays the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch is just as hot offscreen. Why? He actually talks – and listens! – on dates. “One of the best dates of my life, I sat on a park bench and just talked with this girl for five or six hours,” Evans, now 27, says. “If you connect with someone through dialogue, it really makes the date.”
The 28-year-old pro from Dancing with the Stars says he works “hard for this body, so when I dress it’s like a business card. I’m not insecure. I like fitted clothes.” He adds, “I know my assets so I don’t have a problem opening my shirt. I notice women looking at my chest all the time. If you want to look at my chest, go ahead.”
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, now 30, who glides easily between albums (his latest is the platinum-selling Release Therapy) and films (he appeared in last year’s Fred Claus), says it’s good to maintain a little mystery when first meeting a woman. “Don’t throw yourself at a woman on the first date no matter how beautiful or fabulous she is, ” he says. “And you shouldn’t share your whole life story within the first hour ’cause what will you talk about next?”
“I’m not one of those people who wants to be in love for the sake of being in love. But I believe in it,” says the 40-year-old Luttrell, Tenn., native. “I can definitely see myself married with kids. I’m not ready to say I’m locked down for life, but I do feel I am getting closer to letting some of the walls down.”
The American Idol runner-up admits that, deep down, he’s the sensitive type: “I’m the dozen roses kind of guy. I’ve done some serenading. In an intimate setting singing to a girl is beautiful.”
His HBO documentary Shot in the Dark got good reviews and he’s the centerpiece of HBO’s hit Entourage – but how does a bachelor who plays a famously single guy live and love? Says Grenier, “I’m a simple guy. I don’t like clubs or a lot of people waiting on me. I give dinner parties and cook myself. You won’t find me with an entourage.”
The Olympic speed skater-turned-Dancing with the Stars champ isn’t going to meet his lady at the usual meat markets. “I’m not really one to hit on a girl in a club or a bar. But if I’m at Whole Foods and this group of girls walks by, that’s a different situation. I still would never walk up and say, ‘Hey, what’s up? Buying bananas?’ because she’s going to be like, ‘Loser, get away from me!’ But I think it’s more of a comfortable place.”
Timberlake, 26, might be tight-lipped about his relationships, but all it takes is a look at the lyrics on his multiplatinum album FutureSex/LoveSounds to see how he feels about commitment: “So rest your weary heart/ And relax your mind/ ‘Cause I’m gonna love you girl/ Until the end of time.”
