Silicon Valley's T.J. Miller Arrested on Suspicion of Battery on Car Service Driver
According to an LAPD officer, the car service driver requested a private person's arrest
Silicon Valley actor T.J. Miller was arrested on suspicion of battery early Friday morning, PEOPLE confirms.
Officers responded to a radio call early Friday morning near the 6900 block of Camrose Drive made by the driver of a car service company, who accused Miller of battery, officer Drake Madison tells PEOPLE. The driver of the unnamed car service company requested a private person’s arrest, Madison says.
According to Madison, officers followed the victim to Miller’s residence, where he was arrested and taken into custody around 1 a.m.
Miller was booked at the Hollywood station, citing a misdemeanor — bail was set at $20,000 — and released on his own recognizance with a notice to appear. No other details were available.
On Sunday, the actor, who also appeared in Deadpool alongside Ryan Reynolds and stars in holiday comedy Office Christmas Party with Jennifer Aniston, will host the Critics’ Choice Awards for the second consecutive year.
A rep for Miller did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
