Talk about a sonic two-for-one!

Sia dropped her new single, “Alive,” on Thursday, and another pop powerhouse appears in the song’s credits: Adele!

Sia and Adele cowrote the track with noted lyricist Tobias Jesso Jr. and will appear on the “Chandelier” singer’s upcoming album, This Is Acting – but it was actually penned to be included on Adele’s hotly anticipated third album.

With lyrics like “You took it out, but I’m still breathing … I’m alive,” the single follows the singer’s signature ”victim-to-victory” writing style.

In addition to sounding like an instant-classic Sia song, “Alive” fits well with the theme of her upcoming LP, which is full of tracks the smash songwriter penned for other artists initially.

“I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘This is something I would say,'” she told NME earlier this year. “It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”

No plans for the “Alive” music video have yet been announced, but if it follows the pattern of her previous hits – “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry” – it’ll feature Dance Moms breakout Maddie Ziegler. Sia will direct the 12-year-old (and recent PEOPLE Ones to Watch honoree) in Sister, a film she’s working on based off a story she once wrote.
