Shooter Jennings & Misty Brooke Swain Marry in the Desert
The rocker and his bride tied the knot last month, PEOPLE confirms
Shooter Jennings and Misty Brooke Swain found the perfect combination for their nuptials: dessert in the desert!
The rocker, 34, and his bride were married on June 4 in Joshua Tree, Calif., PEOPLE can now confirm, with the San Gabriel Mountains in the Mojave Desert as a picturesque backdrop.
Swain wore a satin A-line gown with crystal details at the waist and a chapel-length train. Jennings – who is the son of the late country singer Waylon Jennings – wore a custom black rose shirt made by Manuel, who originally created it for Jennings’s godfather, the late Johnny Cash.
The late-afternoon ceremony was held in front of an intimate group of family and friends, while the groom’s father’s music played in the background.
On Instagram, Swain showed off the couple’s wedding cake, complete with a Dukes of Hazzard themed cake topper, writing “Wedding Cake! #bestever”
Previously, Jennings was engaged to The Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo – but the pair was never married. Together, they have two children: a son, Waylon Albert “Blackjack”, 2, and a daughter, Alabama Gypsyrose, 5.
