Shawn Mendes Insists He's Still Single Before Singing Duet with Camila Cabelo

She may not have been on the set of her talk show, but Wendy Williams took her hosting duties at Pitbull New Year’s Eve Revolution just as seriously.

They daytime diva tried to get a confession out of singer Shawn Mendes, but the 17-year-old was quick on his feet.

While interviewing the musician, Williams, 51, tried to slyly ask Mendes if the rumors about him dating Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello are true. Rather than asking, Williams told Mendes, “I hear your girlfriend is here with you tonight.”

Mendes quickly corrected her, answering, “Actually that’s wrong. I don t have a girlfriend.”

The teen heartthrob then laughed off then allegation, telling Williams, “Maybe I’ll find one here tonight.”

Although Mendes denied that he was there with a date, Cabello, 18, was in attendance at the New Year’s Eve countdown.

Following William’s slick line of questioning, the two teens performed their duet, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
