Showing he has more than one net game, NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal has teamed up with the world’s richest man, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, to protect children on the Internet, reports PEOPLE contributor Todd Foster. Looking like David and Goliath as they stood shoulder to hip at the Boys and Girls Club in southeast Washington, D.C., this week, the pair introduced an online safety program for children called “Stay Safe Online.” The program will be tested in 15 new technology centers in rural and inner-city neighborhoods built across the nation with financial support from Gates and O’Neal and technical support from Microsoft.

  • At the press conference Shaq slapped hands with two dozen kids seated behind him and called Bill Gates “my idol, the guy I want to be like when I grow up.”
