It’s been a few months since Serena Williams showed off her twerking skills in Beyoncé‘s Lemonade. And now, the tennis champion is spilling the beans about her surprising cameo.

The 34-year-old opened up to WSJ Magazine about her role in Queen Bey’s visual album – including keeping the project a secret.

“I’ve known Bey for a long time,” Williams said in her cover story for the magazine’s latest issue.

Although the tennis pro knows a thing or two about working her muscles, Williams said twerking alongside Beyoncé was no easy task.

“I got really sore from dancing!” she said.

Williams appeared in Beyoncé’s music video for “Sorry,” in which the athlete frolicked through the halls of a Louisiana plantation home before dancing alongside the singer as she lounged in a throne-like chair.

It was a pleasant surprise for fans to see the two powerful women on the same screen, and Williams said she had no trouble keeping her appearance a secret.

“If you tell me, ‘Don’t say anything,’ I won’t say anything,” Williams told WSJ.

Fellow tennis champion, Caroline Wozniacki, added that she didn’t know about the video until she saw it – “she really kept it a secret.”

Lemonade has been certified platinum and, according to Billboard, all 12 songs on the album debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in May – making Beyoncé the first woman to chart 12 songs on the list at once.
