Senator Calls Bachelor Presidential Candidate Lindsey Graham 'A Bro with No Ho' (and Yes, He Now Regrets It)

An aide called the remark a "joke between friends"

Sen. Mark Kirk is a bro with no filter.

The Illinois Republican says he now regrets calling longtime bachelor Sen. Lindsey Graham a “bro with no ho.”

But the usually outspoken Kirk declined to further explain the controversial quip he made about the Republican presidential hopeful during a Senate Appropriations Committee markup session on Thursday, Politico reports.

“I’ve been joking with Lindsey,” Kirk said in the session, according to audio of the incident from the Huffington Post. “Did you see that? He’s going to have a rotating first lady. He’s a bro with no ho.”

When asked about the the comment following a meeting in the office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kirk said, “No. No, comment.” Asked if he regretted the remark, however, he admitted, “I do.”

An aide called it a “joke between friends,” according to Politico.

Graham, 59, who has never married and has no children, has also poked fun at his own single status. He joked this week that if elected president, he would have a “rotating first lady.”
