This will either solve or start a lot of arguments.

For the first time in nine years, Hasbro is adding a new word to the official Merriam-Webster Scrabble Players Dictionary, and players are going to get to choose.

The company’s allowing players to vote in the comments section of a post on the Hasbro Game Night Facebook page. In case you were wondering, of course, “selfie” and “twerk” have been nominated, as have “nowish” and “crowdfunding.”

The deadline for submissions is March 28.

Sixteen finalists will be publicly revealed April 2, and fans can then vote on those; the final winner will be declared April 10.

The updated dictionary will come out in August.
