Just one day after the actress’s split from New York ad exec Nate Naylor was made public, Johansson, 28, was spotted lunching with Dauriac at La Esquina restaurant in Soho, N.Y.C. Dauriac was revealed to be a journalist who had last been the editor of Clark, a hip, urban arts magazine that had been around for a decade. The publication has since folded.

Are they or aren’t they?
Johansson sent the media into a frenzy when she sported a pear-shaped sparkler on her engagement ring finger while strolling with her beau in N.Y.C. shortly after Valentine’s Day.
“Scarlett is absolutely not engaged,” her rep told PEOPLE at the time.
Making a rare appearance in Los Angeles, the lovey-dovey duo made their way to Santa Monica, where they dined at Mexican hotspot, Mercado.
“They kissed across the table,” a source told PEOPLE. “They really seemed to be enjoying each others’ company.”

He put a ring on it!
Johansson showed off not only her cleavage and a beautifully colored statement necklace on the carpet at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy – she also flaunted a vintage Art Deco style sparkler.
A source confirmed the engagement to PEOPLE right away, with her rep acknowledging the news shortly thereafter, adding that they hadn’t chosen a date for the nuptials.
