A man confronted by a shotgun-toting Jimmy Dean after pulling into Dean’s driveway to ask directions dropped a lawsuit this week against the sausage king. Both Dean and Christopher J. Dallaglio requested the dismissal of the $125,000 case this week. A trial last summer in Richmond VA ended in a deadlocked jury. “This is a classic frivolous suit which should never have been brought to court, and it did so because I am a high-profile celebrity,” Dean said in a statement released by his sausage company, Jimmy Dean Foods. Dallaglio claimed that Dean, a country crooner, leveled a shotgun at him, told him it was loaded and ordered him to get off his property during a snowstorm in January 1996. Dean denied pointing the gun at Dallaglio.
