The Sex and the City 2 star dishes on filming in Morocco – but won't give away too much of the plot

Sarah Jessica Parker has come down with a case of PTP – as in “protect the plot” – and the “disease” is spreading to her Sex and the City 2 costars.

“We hope we made a movie that lives up to expectations,” Parker told PEOPLE at Las Vegas’s ShoWest convention Thursday.

Joined by Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis (Kim Cattrall is working on a play in London), the three, who received the Ensemble Award, refused to give any spoilers about the highly anticipated movie that was filmed in the Moroccan desert.

“We’ve never laughed harder or talked more or spent more time together,” Parker said, adding that the women rode camels in one scene, making for some hysterical outtakes.

“The camels were beautifully trained,” she said. “Cynthia and Kristin were on one camel and they had the most grumpy, ornery camel. Ours was so sweet, but then out of nowhere our camel would sit. You have to understand, it’s not like a bike and the bike fell over. It’s a camel, and the camel would just sit. And when they sit, it’s a little like an earthquake. We laughed so hard.”

“That was the most exotic, beautiful thing we did,” Nixon said.

One reason why they’ve managed to keep the plot shrouded in secrecy? The isolated location where they filmed.

“There were no roads,” Nixon said. “You couldn’t drive over roads to get to the desert. You would have to drive over sand.”

Added Parker: “We had to make our own roads.”

“It was scary the first day,” Davis said of the drive to the shooting location. “It was an adventure like no other.”
