Sarah Jessica Parker joined the world of celebrity tweeters Wednesday, dusting off her long-dormant @SJP Twitter account.

(That’s right – Parker got in early enough to snag a rare three-letter handle.) The Sex & the City star heralded her arrival on the social network with a super-freaky eye avatar and a first Tweet that promoted her new web series about ballet dancers, "city.ballet."

How does Parker’s first Tweet stack up with her celeb contemporaries’? Pretty well, in fact. SJP’s Tweet fits firmly into one of the four major categories of celebrity tweets, The Self-Promotional Tweet. After all, your first Tweet is going to be getting a lot of attention.
