Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.

Just a day after undergoing surgery to treat complications from a recent double mastectomy, TV chef chef Sandra Lee walked out of the hospital on Wednesday, accompanied by her longtime partner, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The Food Network star gave a thumbs-up to photographers as she headed home to recuperate.

Lee, 48, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and underwent a double mastectomy in May, was hospitalized for several days last week due to an infection.

In a Facebook post earlier Wednesday, her team wrote that the celebrity chef was “up and energized” and “determined to go home today, even if that means ‘hosting’ a pick line or med line for IV infusions, as she must stay on massive antibiotics for a couple of weeks to fight against infection.”

“What can we say?” they added. “The girl simply wants to GO HOME!!”

Her rep told PEOPLE that Lee will have nursing care for several weeks and will receive antibiotics through a PICC line (a peripherally inserted central catheter) that the nurse will oversee.

“Sandra is determined to go home and resume her life,” the rep added.
