Even secret agents have feelings.

In the new music video for “Writing’s On the Wall,” Sam Smith shows the emotional side of the new James Bond movie, Spectre, out Nov. 6.

The British crooner trades the typical 007 spectacle for intimate settings that let him showcase the powerful ballad and intense scenes from the movie. While Smith travels from one epic set to the next, Daniel Craig appears alongside Bond women Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux.

Smith teased his Bond theme song for weeks before its release. He described “Writing’s On the Wall” as “one of the highlights of my career” when he announced it on Twitter in early September.
