Sabrina Carpenter’s new “Smoke and Fire” music video is almost here – and it’s fiery!
“It’s an artistic way to interpret the real meaning of smoke and fire without being literal,” Carpenter tells PEOPLE. “Of course it’s fun to run into burning buildings, but it’s not the reality of what happens after a breakup, that’s just what it feels like.”
“We show flashback memories of an innocent love story in the midst of post breakup beauty and heartbreak,” she adds.
In an exclusive sneak peek, all eyes are on Carpenter, 16, as she makes her way down a hallway past several ballerinas.
“I got to incorporate ballet, which I had been doing since I was 2,” the Girl Meets World star says. “So that was a treat for me to be able to connect the story to myself and many other people in another way.”
