It’s the World Wrestling Federation vs. Playboy in a multi-round scuffle over some nude photos of former women’s champion Sable. Rena Mero, a.k.a Sable, has twice appeared in the men’s magazine and wants to be included in the Oct. 19 newsstand issue, which isn’t mailed to subscribers. But the WWF, which claims it created the sex-kitten Sable image, filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to block release of the issue and demanding the profits from an appearance Mero made in Playboy last month. In June Mero filed a $110 million lawsuit against the WWF, accusing it of trying to degrade her with plans for a lesbian story line, exposure of her breasts on TV and appearances in sexually degrading photos. She has said she considers posing in Playboy to be tasteful.
