While royals fanatics were flocking outside the Lindo Wing, another English mum was giving birth. A Humboldt penguin at the Chester Zoo became the proud parent to eight fuzzy hatchlings.
SOOTY OWL CHICK
Sydney's Taronga Zoo decided royal baby week was the perfect time to debut their sooty owl chick. The little fluff ball hasn't mastered the power of flying quite yet, but in a few months he'll be soaring.

POLAR BEAR CUB
Princess Kate only made us wait a few hours before introducing her newest baby. Rara the polar bear really drew it out. The mom gave birth to her cub at Sapporo Maruyama Zoo in December, but didn't introduce us to the the cutie until April 28.
