The MMA star said she'd happily go with a North Carolina Marine who asked her to his ball
North Carolina Marine Jarrod Haschert took a one-in-a-million chance last week and asked MMA fighter Ronda Rousey to his Marine Corps Ball in December. And on Tuesday, those long odds ended up working out in Haschert’s favor: Rousey said yes.
“I would go for sure,” Rousey, 28, told a TMZ cameraman on Tuesday. “He’s cute. He’s got to be a gentleman, though. I’m not a ‘first date’ kind of girl. But, I don’t know, we’ll see when I meet him.”
Rousey explained that she previously had a fight during that time period, but it has since been rescheduled, meaning she’s able to attend. There’s just one problem, though: Rousey is new to this business of being asked out by complete strangers and she’s not sure how to take the next steps.
“Do I call him?” she asks the cameraman. “Or do I set up a time and place like Never Been Kissed and wait until the clock runs out and be like ‘I’m here!’?” The cameraman insists that he’ll work all that out for her. The Internet, after all, tends to make this kind of magic happen fairly easily.

Haschert posted the video on Thursday. In it, he calls Rousey his celebrity crush.
“I love everything you do, and I think you are a phenomenal person,” Haschert says in the video. “You would truly be making my dreams come true. I really hope you get this, and take consideration into it, thank you very much.”[facebook url="https://www.facebook.com/a7xfanboy/videos/10207676492093350/" /]
As of Tuesday night, the video had been viewed almost five million times.
