It was an emotional and happy day when comedian Ron White married his longtime fiancée Margo Rey in Dallas on Sunday.

The singer, 46, wore a strapless white gown, and instead of an intricate updo, Rey’s hair was cropped short – a side-effect of the chemotherapy and radiation she underwent earlier this year as she battles cancer for the second time. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends including John Oates at the Fairmont Hotel. Frito Pie was served.

Rey beat breast cancer after undergoing a double mastectomy in 2009, only to learn in January this year that the disease had returned in her lymph node.

But she’s determined to win this battle as well.

In April, White – a Vegas headliner best known as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy tour – posted a video showing him shaving her hair into a Mohawk as she reached the halfway mark in her chemo treatments. She dubbed the look “chemo-glam.”

Rey calls White, who proposed to her just weeks before her initial diagnosis, “the best husband in the world,” but the 56-year-old is equally enamored with his courageous wife.

“She’s fun,” he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Margo’s a ball of wax, man. Margo’s cut from a different cloth.”
