Rodman's New Record

Police in Newport Beach, Calif., a very conservative community, revealed over the weekend that local resident Dennis Rodman has set a new record in town: most police calls to a house. Since moving to Newport in July of 1998, basketball’s bad boy has supposedly had the cops called to his house 28 times (usually after a loud party). “It’s become a real pain,” Newport Beach Police Sgt. Mike McDermott told the Associated Press. “It’s a waste of police resources.” On the other hand, though Rodman has so far paid $2,800 in legal penalties pending from police action against him, no complainant against him has reportedly ever stepped forward — and his neighbors label him a cool guy.
