Paula Patton says she is “growing up.”

In a segment on The Meredith Vieira Show, the actress, whose divorce from singer Robin Thicke was recently finalized, said she is “just getting used to change.”

“I went from my parent’s house to moving in with Robin, and now I’m becoming an adult,” she said in the interview, set to air Tuesday. “I’m really, like a real woman now.”

Patton, 39, was the first to file for divorce, and though the court granted it on March 17, the marriage will be officially over on April 14, according to papers obtained by PEOPLE.

Thicke has tried to win back Patton with public apologies and onstage tributes.

The pair have a 4-year-old son, Julien Fuego, together.
