PHOTOS: The 21 Cutest Behind-the-Scenes Snaps from the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team
Just hours before competing in the beam finals with teammate Laurie Hernandez, Simone Biles posted sweet then-and-now photos of them together. "Funny thing is back then we never thought we would be competing at the Olympics. Crazy how things happen, so excited to be competing in the Beam Finals today with this girl!" she wrote.
WATCH YOUR BACK
Biles lifted up Aly Raisman – otherwise known as the team's grandmother – to crack her back. ("Helping a sista out.")
SIMONE TO THE RESCUE
Again, Biles helped out Raisman with her pain, giving her teammate a leg message.
ON THE FLOOR
Raisman and Madison Kocian joined forces for their last workout in Rio ahead of the floor final.
The Final Five – Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez – may be the only people in the world who can pull off "Squad Goals" tank tops. (We want in.)
Aly Raisman posted a photo of the impossibly adorable note her teammates Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez left on her bed when she came back from winning her silver medal in the all-around.
Here, Raisman poses in her dazzling leotard that makes her feel like "super girl" – and adds the hashtags, "#MyParentsCanBreatheNow #TheyGetSoNervous."
After Biles won the all-around gold and Raisman the silver, Kocian offered a massive congrats on her Instagram. "They deserve every bit of the success after all the hard work they put in! I look up to them for so many reasons amp I'm so proud of them!"
In case the whole gymnastics thing doesn't work out, Biles says she and her teammates "weren't terrible" at foosball.
GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK
We are dying over this picture of "mama Aly" tucking Hernandez into bed.
Douglas poses with her coach of the past two years, Christian Gallardo … and reveals that her podium training is *fire emoji*.
OBLIGATORY PHOTO OP
Did you even go to the Olympics if you didn't pose with the Rio 2016 sculpture?
OBLIGATORY PHOTO OP PART 2
This works out perfectly: five Olympic rings means five spots for each of the U.S. teammates to pose.
KEEP CALM AND PHOTO BOOTH
"Having fun with my best friends," Kocian captions goofy photo booth photos, proving that they do get to have some fun when they're not training, performing or being bad at foosball.
LOVE YOUR SELFIE
Biles and Hernandez take a quick Team U.S.A. selfie because priorities.
NO BAD BLOOD
Hernandez and Raisman pose for a picture with Eythora Thorsdottir, a gymnast from the Netherlands.
Olympians come in all shapes and sizes, as evidenced by this insane photo of Raisman posing next to Olympic swimmer David Lee.
BLUE EYELINER FTW
For the team final – which they crushed – Raisman rocks "patriotic makeup."
Biles and Hernandez take in the night views of the city, likely right before their early bedtimes.
SELFIES FOR DAYS
Raisman referred to Hernandez as her "third little sis" as they cheered on their teammates in the stands.
