Table for two!

Richard Gere joined new love Padma Lakshmi in Boston over the weekend, where the Top Chef host is filming the latest season.

The pair dined at Sofra Bakery & Café in Cambridge on Saturday, where Lakshmi Instagrammed their meal of haloumi with figs. They also ate a beet tzatziki dish while charming the restaurant staff.

“They were very friendly,” an employee told PEOPLE.

The lovebirds were spotted Saturday going for a stroll down Mass. Ave in the Back Bay neighborhood, with Lakshmi, 43, casually dressed in jeans, a leather jacket and a ponytail.

The statuesque food expert posted a photo the same day from one of Beantown’s most popular tourist spots – the weeping willow trees in the Boston Public Garden.

Gere, 64, was seen at Fenway Park Sunday where he took photos with fans and showed his support for the home team in a navy Red Sox hat.

While in town, Lakshmi has been posting pics from some of Boston’s most beloved restaurants, including O Ya, where she dined on hamachi belly nigiri with yuzu soy-marinated Santa Barbara sea urchin on Friday. She’s also been spotted feasting at Coppa Enoteca, Drink and at the food trucks at the SOWA Open Market.

Lakshmi was also seen running off the calories from those meals on the treadmill at a private residential gym.

The mother of one has admitted she goes up two dress sizes by the end of every Top Chef season.
