Does he or doesn’t he? That’s been the question of controversy on the current tenth season of the Real Housewives of Orange County.

But amid all the drama surrounding his diagnosis and treatments, Brooks Ayers denies faking cancer.

“I have cancer,” he told Entertainment Tonight on Monday.

The former boyfriend of RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013.

“I think they do it to create drama,” Ayers said of the cast’s accusations regarding his illness. “It’s useless drama that brings on stress that quite frankly no one needs and in particular my situation. I’m not running from anything.”

This season, Ayers shared with the Housewives that he stopped receiving chemotherapy treatments, instead opting for alternative methods – a decision that has been the hot topic among the ladies specifically Meghan King Edmonds and Tamara Judge.

“My lesion, my inflammations were gone. Gone! So I’m encouraged,” Ayers said giving an update on his current condition.

“Cancer doesn’t mean I should be lying around in a hospice bed.”

Ayers continues to tweet to his 17.7K followers, most recently answering fan questions to set the record straight: “I’m not faking cancer. Uggh.” “Stay tuned for later episodes. #truthisrevealed.”
