They reportedly penned a "personal apology" for the media attention surrounding their kids
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have reportedly written a letter to the parents of children at their daughter Sam’s preschool apologizing for the media attention since the golf star’s sex scandal erupted last year.
“We would like to share our appreciation for your support over the past several months and offer our personal apology for any inconvenience you are experiencing due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children,” reads the letter to Premier Academy parents, according to Florida’s WFTV.com, which obtained the document.
When reached by PEOPLE, the school would not verify the legitimacy of the letter.
Woods and Nordegren say they’re trying to “keep life as normal as possible” for daughter, Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 1.
“For Sam, that normalcy means attending the school that she enjoys so much,” the letter concludes.
This latest apology comes only days after Woods’s mea culpa to the world, when he admitted on live television that he cheated on his wife and was solely to blame for the controversy.
