The actress and her psychologist partner will reportedly tie the knot in May
Jane Lynch, star of the TV musical-comedy Glee, is preparing to marry her girlfriend, Lara Embry, in a same-sex ceremony in May, according to a report.
Lynch, 49, a best supporting actress nominee for Glee at this month’s Golden Globe Awards, revealed the news to The New York Times‘s Carpetbagger blog.
Embry, a psychologist, was in the news last year when she was honored with the Justice Award from the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
The award came after Embry fought a child-custody battle with her former partner – a case that led to a ruling in Florida that the state must honor adoptions granted to same-sex couples by other states.
Lynch, who was seen kissing Embry at the Golden Globes after Glee won best musical or comedy TV series, also recently appeared in the film Julie & Julia.
