It’s not long after the legendary band members hop in the passenger seats that the The Late Late Show host asks if he can play some music. Naturally, the band’s song “Can’t Stop” started blasting from the radio and the sing-along began. Frontman Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer rocked out to their hits like “Give It Away” and “By the Way” along with some less predictable tunes like “Food Glorious Food” from Oliver. When Kiedis mentioned he used to wrestle before his rocker days, Corden couldn’t resist challenging him to a match, even if it was on a stranger’s lawn. (Kiedis easily won after Corden broke down in a fit of giggles.) “I almost didn’t recognize you when you came up because you had clothes on,” Corden tells Kiedis as they continue their drive. After Kiedis explains that it feels more “natural” to bare some skin, he starts removing his socks and shirt. Corden and bassist Flea are happy to follow suit while they jam to Red Hot Chili Pepper’s hit “The Zephyr Song.” The Red Hot Chili Peppers themselves put it best when they tweeted to watch their “bizarre” edition of “Carpool Karaoke.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ new album The Getaway comes out June 17.
