Reality TV's 10 Best Catfights & Meltdowns
TERESA'S TABLE FLIP-OUT
They may be the new Housewives on the Bravo block, but the women of New Jersey know how to throw a dinner party! After Danielle pulled out the controversial book Cop Without a Badge, aimed it at Dina and told Teresa to "pay attention," the hostess lost it, spewing insults – including her now-infamous "prostitution-whore" line – and flipping a table.
ED MISSES THE MOMENT
The Bachelorette's Ed, who missed introducing his parents to Jillian when he left the show, brought his folks to Maui to get to know her. It was a good move and helped earn him an overnight date. Yet after buttering up Jillian with essential oils, Ed failed to seal the deal. The lights went out, then came back on, with Ed admitting, "I was very nervous, and, uh, it just didn't happen."
After a dinner of white wine at Atlanta eatery Fab, where NeNe and Sheree confronted Kim about her alleged lies, things quickly got ugly – and loud – with Sheree and Kim exchanging bleeped insults. Outside the restaurant, the "unbeweaveable" catfight escalated with Sheree yanking Kim's wig. Later, Sheree explained, "I did not want to pull it off. I just wanted to shift it a little bit."
RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE
After talking a lot of game, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag wanted out of the Costa Rican jungle after one day on NBC's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! – before they wanted back in again. While their costars decided whether to let them return, they spent the night in the terrifying Lost Chamber, where a network exec said, "They prayed quite vigorously." The duo didn't last on the show – but they spoke to the press about the ordeal for weeks.
Inspired by her etiquette class, Real Housewives of O.C.'s Tamra threw a dinner party for her costars. Always thinking of others, she decided to get a guest, Gretchen, "naked wasted" by supplying her with enough tequila for all of Orange County. Although she kept her clothes on, Gretchen sucked on spoons, danced and begged for someone to clean her palette. Unfortunately, Tamra's son Ryan was all too willing.
KRISTIN VS. AUDRINA
With Lauren gone, Audrina was primed to become queen of The Hills this year. Not so fast! When Kristin turned up at Speidi's wedding and sat next to Justin Bobby, a new era of drama began. When the show returned, Audrina told Kristin to put her dukes up at a party, and later the ladies went for round two.
FEAR OF FUN
Who's afraid of a waterslide? Aspiring country singer Mika Combs found it impossible to take the plunge when faced with Atlantis Resort’s Leap of Faith waterslide in Dubai on The Amazing Race 15. When her boyfriend Canaan Smith tried everything to convince her to do the task – including almost pushing her down the tube – she had a complete breakdown. The team never completed the challenge, preferring to skip the 6-story ride rather than continue The Race, and they were eliminated.
THE CHIMA HITS THE FAN
When viewers took away her chance to kick her arch-nemesis Russell out of the Big Brother house – giving another contestant the power to overturn her eviction nomination – Chima had some choice words for producers. Then, in a move that made BB history, she tossed her mic pack into the pool and producers booted her from the show.
WILD, WILD WES
As everyone was wondering whether Wes appeared on The Bachelorette despite having girlfriend, the country singer showed his true colors in Spain when he admitted he did the show to help his career. At his elimination, he told the other guys he'd "be back home having lots of sex." And by the time he was driving away, Wes was an embarrassing country-music cliché – downing beers, talking about his dog and digging himself in deeper.
New York's new Housewife Kelly artfully dished out backhanded insults at Bethenny more than once in season 2 (like telling her, "Why would I be jealous of you?") before deciding "Bethenny needed a timeout," asking her to meet and showing up 30 minutes late. At Brass Monkey, she delivered her best line yet, complete with hand gestures: "This is you," Kelly told her, with her hand down low, and "this is me," with a hand held high. Meow!
