Inset: Summit; Humberto Carreno/Startracks Just as the Golden Globes hangover is finally wearing off – and a day before Thursday’s announcement of the Oscar nominees – here comes Hollywood’s annual spitball: the Razzie nominations, announced Wednesday morning to shed a special light on the worst screen achievements of 2014. Heading the dishonor roll is Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, with an impressive seven nominations, including worst picture, sequel and screenplay. Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas and The Legend of Hercules follow, with six nods each. As a sign that hope springs eternal, and to celebrate the fact that the Golden Raspberry Awards (their official title) are turning 35, Razzies founder John Wilson also announced the initiation of a brand new category: the Razzie Redeemer Award, for those former Razzie winners and nominees whose careers bounced back last year thanks to movies finally worthy of their talents. The chosen few in this new field include Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston and Kristen Stewart.
