Rapper Fetty Wap Updates Fans on His Condition After Motorcycle Accident

Fetty Wap is recovering after a motorcycle accident put him in the hospital in New Jersey over the weekend.

The “Trap Queen” rapper took to Instagram with a health update on Sunday, saying he broke his leg in three places.

“I appreciate all my fans praying for me, man,” Wap says on the clip. “I had a little accident, but I’m straight. I mean, I broke my leg in three places, but I’ll be alright. I really appreciate you all for real.”

He shared another message in the caption, writing, “Appreciate Ya so much for the prayers … they told me don’t make a video but I’m still breathing so I gotta let ya no I’ll be back.”

Wap, aka Willie Maxwell, was taken to a local hospital following the incident in his hometown of Paterson on Saturday. TMZ reported an eyewitness said the rapper was trying to pass a vehicle when he collided with another one.

Wap has been cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce proof of vehicle registration, the Associated Press reported.

A rep for Wap and the Paterson Police Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
