CBS plans to air a TV movie in March on the case of Alex Kelly, the former high school wrestler who went on the lam in Europe to escape charges of raping a teen-age girl in 1986. “It’s something that has garnered a lot of attention,” CBS spokesman Mark O’Connor said. “The intriguing part in my mind is how he was on the lam for so many years.” “The Return of Alex Kelly” will be broadcast March 23. Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the “Superman” movies, will portray Kelly’s mother. Cassidy Rae, star of “Hyperion Bay,” plays the victim. Kelly is played by Matthew Settle, a regional stage actor. In 1997, a jury found Kelly guilty of rape. He is serving a 16-year prison sentence.
