Rachael Ray has a real-estate deal cooking in the Hamptons.

The TV cook, 38, is negotiating to purchase a Southampton, N.Y., home on 6.2 acres with a price tag of $2.9 million, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The land that the three-bedroom, three-bath house sits on has a pool, a pond and several gardens and sits between two golf courses. The main house was put up in 1976 and looks like a European villa. (See a photo here.)

There’s also a two-bedroom guest cottage with its own kitchen and a sauna, as well as a second cottage containing a bathroom, according to the Journal – which also says Ray and husband John Cusimano have been renting a place in the Hamptons this summer. They also own a cabin in the Adirondack Mountains.

In other New York real-estate news, The Departed Oscar-winning film director Martin Scorsese, 64, sold his historic, four-story, five-bedroom Manhattan townhouse for $6.15 million, according to the New York Observer. The filmmaker paid $1.75 million for the property (which also includes a walled garden) in 1987, says the paper.
